Will the snow EVER go away? It seems we get some every week! I'd say Phil the groundhog was WRONG on February 2nd about spring being 6 weeks away! Many schools cancelled today because of the snow.
Steve says Kansas was hit with a blizzard just before us. It's unusual for KS to get so much snow. They've had several snow storms this winter. In a way it's a good thing as the ground needs the moisture.
I've been counting down the days to the birth of my grandson (and first grandchild). Marie and Jeff are expecting their new addition on April 8th. Less than a month to go! Of course, THIS grandma has already been buying up the gifts for the little guy! He is one spoiled grandson! I can't help myself! Rest assured I've already started his little library! Steve and I plan to visit the new little family after he is born.
Marie and Jeff have everything ready to go for _______. They won't tell us his name yet. My sister, Tina, had a baby shower for Marie and nephew Adam's partner, Debraun, over Christmas vacation. We Sherrill women had a nice time and the new mommies received some nice baby presents.
Geoff is working solely at Apple. His lab job relocated to the South and he didn't. He traveled to the Bahamas again in January with St. Olaf College.
Lynne is still working at Cafe Diem and attending college. What more can I say?!?
This brings everyone up-to-date!

Almost Christmas!
So far [knock on wood] we have NO snow! The days seem to stay in the 40's. Everywhere you look people are decorating for the holidays. Not me! I still have Halloween stuff to put away! Don't worry, I'll get-er-done. I dressed up as a witch and read stories to elementary kids at 2 of my schools. That was fun! During the first weekend in November, Tina, Trudy and I travelled to Mpls. to shop in the Mall of America. [M.O.A.] We had a nice time.
Steve will move into his new house sometime after Thanksgiving. It is a one story house with 3 bedrooms on an acreage. He's only renting. The house is located 8 miles north from work in Valley Center, KS. Originally we had planned on Lynne and I going to Wichita for Thanksgiving to help him move. However, the house won't be ready. So, instead, he's coming North. He'll only be here from Nov. 24-27.
Marie and Jeff experienced a brief snow storm recently out in CO.
Geoff is now an Apple Specialist working in an Apple Computer Center. He's finishing up training now.
Lynne continues her studies at ISU. She's living at University Village now [cheaper] and has informed me that she will be staying in Ames over the summer. Last weekend she went "shopping" at Reiter Supplies & Grocery here at the Garner house to stock up on food and other stuff. I always have to go thru those boxes she loads in her car!
Not too much else going on...
UNTIL NEXT TIME, LOVE YA - TLESR
